ZILLOW
THE JOURNEY
Moving is one of the biggest—and most difficult—decisions a person can make. But once it’s done, it’s almost always worth it. So we set out to tell a moving story through a young girl’s eyes, as she she struggles to leave the only home she has ever known for an unfamiliar place with promising new beginnings.
Directed by Epoch’s Martin de Thurah, we used a combination of practically fabricated costumes and props, locations in the Czech countryside, and VFX to bring this girl’s imagination to life. It was a Herculean effort involving a 5-day remote shoot, a lightning-fast edit done by Rock Paper Scissor’s Mikkel E.G. Nielsen, and Blacksmith’s global army of VFX gurus working nonstop in nearly every timezone to make it happen in 3 months flat.
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood scored and conducted this piece of music in the infamous Abbey Road Studio with 36 members of the London Contemporary Orchestra. Music editing, sound design, and mix were done by our friends at Ballad.
The :60 version launched during major primetime broadcast placements with both long-form and cutdown versions airing on broadcast and several digital/OTT platforms.
